Friday Private Group: After-school Speech & Debate

This group class includes six one-hour in-person sessions, focused on developing and improving debate and presentation skills, including public speaking, speech writing, priming an audience, Q & A response training, rhetorical strategy and more. For Parliamentary debate, we utilize the MSPDP structure of argumentation, refutation and debate created by Kate Schuster and John Meaney at Claremont McKenna College. This structure is used by all schools in the New York Debate League. This class is a private group and only open to those invited by the organizers. *All cancellations require 24 hours notice. No refunds will be issues after completion of the first class in the course. No modifications may be made to this course. No make up classes will be offered for classes missed for playdates, other classes, birthdays or other leisure activities.
