Research shows that the early inculcation of leadership skills is essential for a successful life. Students that learn and apply leadership skills daily are more confident, they take the initiative more often, they are more prepared to adapt, they negotiate more efficiently for themselves and others, they are more organized and prepared, and they have an easier time solving or mediating conflict.

GoGlobal: In partnership with the U.S. Embassy and the ministry of education in ukraine

Dedimus Potestatem matched an education specialist with GoGlobal Ukraine that hosted a teacher training session for 200 teachers. GoGlobal Ukraine is now the largest volunteer program in Eastern Europe. Together with the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv and the Ukrainian Ministry of Education, the education specialist continues to work closely with the staff and teachers of GoGlobal to ensure that the next generation of Ukrainians are empowered and civically responsible.

African women empowerment guild: Teacher training, Edo State

An education specialist from Dedimus Potestatem conducted a teacher training seminar for a coalition of 250 Nigerian teachers with the objective of exporting educational programs to schools all over Nigeria. This two day training course was organized by The Office of the First Lady of Southern Nigeria, The Office of the Governor of Edo State and The Edo State Social Investment Program. The teachers trained have started implementing Leadership programs in schools in rural and urban communities all over Nigeria.

An education specialist with Dedimus Potestatem, in tandem with the African Women’s Empowerment Guild, conducted five seminars for 200 government leaders, 250 teachers and 200 NGO employees and volunteers working with the Edo State Task Force Against Human Trafficking. The Leadership, Education and Business Development Seminars were organized by The Office of the First Lady of Southern Nigeria, The Edo State Social Development Fund, The Office of the Governor of Edo State and the Edo State Task Force Against Human Trafficking.

The education specialist continues to work with the government of Edo State and the heads of NGO’s in their fight to expand economic opportunities for women and girls and end human trafficking in Nigeria.
